My first BLF missions experience in France was life changing. All of the staff members were such humble, God-centered, service-oriented individuals. There was a great variety of activities: working on a farm to prepare for a youth weekend camp, stuffing envelopes for a small congregation reaching out in their town, attending two different Sunday worship services, and sight-seeing in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. We also had a visit from the founders of BLF, Clement and Charlotte Kroeker, who discussed the desperate needs for outreach in Africa. All these experiences opened my eyes to the lack of Christian churches in France and Belgium, how far people travel to attend a home church, how persecuted they are for being Christian, how humble and sacrificial they were. It gave me a deeper appreciation for how fortunate and rich we are in the USA, and an awe for those who are serving in this ministry. I now have a heart for mission work that I didn't have before. And I am grateful to the Millers for their Godly example and leadership during the trip.
